Tony Talks History

The ENTIRE History Of Lamborghini

Lamborghini was started by a man who built tractors. Ferruccio Lamborghini made his first one in 1947 out of leftover war trucks, got rich, bought a Ferrari, and, the story goes, walked into Enzo Ferrari's office to complain about the clutch. What happened next gave the world the raging bull. Its first car went on show with bricks where the engine should be, its most famous car was built at night by three young men their boss had told no, its poster car was named after a word people shout when they are amazed, and a cancelled order for tractors helped push the founder out of his own company. Then came bankruptcy, a string of owners, the Rambo Lambo, and in 2025 the best year it has ever had. This is the entire history of Lamborghini, from a grape farm near Renazzo to more than ten thousand cars a year.

What we left out

Claims we found and could not stand behind, so they are not in the video.

The year Ferruccio sold 51% of the car company to Georges-Henri Rossetti. Articles give 1972 or 1973, so the video states the $600,000 price and no year.
The year of The Cannonball Run. Sources differ, so the video names the film and gives no date.
A 1984 date for the Mimran brothers' takeover. One article gives 1984, but the video follows the History of Lamborghini article, which says 1980.
